Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Hey there! I was surprised to see nobody has posted from ALABAMA yet.
Rhett and Link are getting a lot of attention from the "Rick and Bubba" radio show
not to mention all the traffic that Cullman Liquidators has had. They were featured
with several stories in last Friday's newspaper.

Yeah, I heard about that. That's where my mom found out about them, then relayed it to me, showing me the video and everything. I soon became an overly-obsessed, rabid fan (which I should probably stop...) all in about 2 weeks. xDD

I've been to Cullman a couple times, but only passing through, so I don't know if I've ever seen the actual Cullman Liquidators location.

Hey, do you know anything about the white barbecue sauce in the BBQ Song they sang about?
I've never seen it, so I was thinking it was more of a restaurant or community thing, but I don't really know. Have you ever seen it?
Yeah- the white sauce was started by the Gibson family in the Huntsville/Decatur area.
The sell it in some of the grocery stores round here.
The Original Cullman sign was very faded- I think now they have repainted it.

Oh, cool. x]
I'm in Birmingham, so there aren't many small, family-owned grocery stores around here that might sell it.

And by the way, I'm not in college yet, so no, I'm not in the UA band. xDD

It's available from their website for $4.75 each. (BigBobGibsoncom)
If you like BBQ you must try the white sauce! Also good on stuffed potatoes.
Oh, wow.
Thanks. xDD
Maybe I'll relay that to my sister, she's the barbecue lover in the house. xDDD

I'm from Alabama. And I think it sucks...

Reply by Lindsey (Invisible Scorpiadillo) on April 2, 2012 at 12:30pm

Well that is really sad.  May I ask why you think it sucks?

I'm nowhere near a redneck. I've lived here my entire life. My parents and grandparents have lived here their entire lives, yet I don't have an accent. I'm a nerd.

Alabama is where it's at!

Hiya! I'm a "converted Alabamian." I moved to Huntsville, AL years ago and I love this city. Just geeky enough, with all the Southern hospitality. I love this place!

Good to hear others like Huntsville! It's great there

I moved to Alabama recently, and though I was a fan of Rhett and Link before coming here, I only just joined the Kommunity! How is everyone??

Welcome to Alabama ! I am new to the Kommunity (and Alabama, a little) as well! *hugs!*

WHAT'S UP Y'All?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Lol just kidding, but hey, if you're from the south and have never said the word y'all before, you might as well leave now. SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY AUBURN FANS OUT THERE!!!!!!!! And does it bother anyone else that whenever people from up north move here they think they're so much more sophisticated than we are? And they think that if you live in AL that automatically make you a redneck? The artist that brought us the lovely song "Red Solo Cup" is from Oklahoma, not AL. But hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Who's proud to be a good 'ole southern country girl or boy?! Yea that's right! Oh, and for all you northerners out there that think we're so stupid and don't know what all the latest doosiwhatsits are, I'm typing this on an iPad, my iPhone is in my pocket, and everyone knows that even though we southerners are known for our kindness and hospitality, we'll also whoop the far out of all y'all haters. ;) have a nice day now honey

Hello Alabama Mythical Beasts! I'm from Monroeville :)

All of this happened before I ever found Rhett and Link, sadly. But I am from Hanceville (about ten minutes south of Cullman). It's so awesome that there are so many Mythical Beasts so close! :) Nice to meet everyone.
