Ever since the "Whatever Wednesday" format was introduced (then quickly and quietly disappeared), I've noticed that Wednesday episodes have been covering topical/recent subject matter. For example, the episode of Rhett re-creating Rihanna's Coachella outfit aired only 3 days after Rihanna posted the Instagram photo that the episode referenced. As another example, when Rhett and Link did the Chapstick Mannequin Challenge, they referenced Red Lobster releasing a chapstick "over the weekend" and Link mentioned a tweet they had sent only two days earlier, on the Monday just prior to the episode's release.

So even though most GMM episodes are filmed a week or possibly more in advance, they seem to be filming the Wednesday episodes in the same week that they air...hence why they were so on-the-ball with this Cocoa-Cola Coffee Plus release.
