What is your favorite Bible verse? Mine is Ephesians 2:4-6

"But[a] God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,"

Can I have a whole chapter?  I like Isaiah 53.  Such a faith builder.  Written hundreds of years before Christ and talks of Him with such detail.  Love it and love your verse too, Eph 2:4-6 is great.

We all have hurt someone, and someone has hurt us, not on purpose. Forgiving others, and being forgiven, is something we all (should) do daily.  Here is a collection of verses, about handling anger and forgiveness:

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”Luke 23:34
“When a fool is annoyed, he quickly lets it be known. Wise people will ignore an insult.”Proverbs 12:16 (TEV)
“A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.”Proverbs 19:11
“Love overlooks the wrongs that others do.” Proverbs 10:12
“You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you.Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”Colossians 3:13 (NLT)

These have helped me!

This year I've really been coming back to Isaiah 43:1. Most specifically the second half of the verse.

"Now this is what the Lord says—
the One who created you, Jacob,
and the One who formed you, Israel—
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; you are Mine." (HCSB)

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.

It is really hard to pick just one. If we're talking the Catholic bible (7 extra books, y'all!), then I'd say Tobit 6:18b.

Do not be afraid, for she was set apart for you before the world existed. You will save her, and she will go with you.

If we're talking the books everyone has, it'd be my confirmation verse, Isaiah 41:10.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I also love John 15:18-20. It's a good reminder in these troubled times.

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also."

Mine is Samuel 2 14 :14. "All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away ; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him." I love this one because when I read it I had a whole new view of God.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord. "The plans to prosper you and not to harm you; the plans to give you hope and a future."

I'm not sure what my favorite verse is, but I know one of them is Mark 13:13, as it's growing more important every day it seems.

"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

Short but meaningful. Some people may hate us because of our beliefs, but no matter what we cannot back down. Those who persevere until the end shall be saved.
