I thought that I had posted this much earlier . . . but if you've nver seen the movie Second Hand Lions you probably know that the strip "Walter and Jasmine" bears a striking resemblance to Calvin and Hobbes - - - not the look of the artwork as much as the "sentiment" of the characters

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6BF2Q86PhY <--- you can either enjoy the full movie or just jump straight to the ending credits to see what I mean

These were actually penned by Berkley Breathed himself of Bloom County and OUTLAND fame (Opus the Penguin & Bill the Cat)

I just found out that Bill Watterson drew some guest strips for the comic strip Pearls Before Swine in June!! These are his first published comic drawings in 20 years. :O

Here's Pearls Before Swine author Stephen Pastis' blog post describing his communications with Mr. Watterson, which includes links to the guest strips!

The original video got taken down because of some stupid copyright claims, but every Calvin and Hobbes fan needs to see this amazing animation by animator Adam Brown.

Based off this classic sequence of images:

Check it out -- Bill Watterson drew the poster for a new documentary called Stripped about comic strip artists, and he'll actually appear in it too! Well, his voice anyway.
