We'll be meeting them in Amarillo. Will we get to meet any other Mythical Beasts, too?
I'm planning on coming! It's a 5-6 hr drive, but I think I can do it. I'll be the one with a German Shepherd. :)

Just curious, and I mapped it out on R&L's Google route to see how it works . . .

  1. The drive between planned Stop #5 (OK Welcome Center) and Stop #6 (Amarillo) is about 7 hours 20 minutes (not including bathroom breaks
  2. The drive from Dallas to Amarillo is almost 6 hours - - a stretch for us DFW fans.
  3. The drive from Dallas to Oklahoma City, thru which the guys are driving anyways, is only 3 1/2 hours
  4. An OKC stop along the route would come a bit over 3 hours after planned Stop #5 and leave a little over 4 hours driving to Amarillo to spend the night
  5. Perhaps R&L would want to stop for lunch and make an impromptu visit with their OKC and DFW fans?

Robin - - do you have any pull with the dymanic duo that might sway their consideration?

That would be awesome. Maybe if there are enough of us to make it worthwhile?

I don't have any pull. Sorry.

I was just excited that they are stopping in Texas.
