Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

As you all know with the world scheduled to end this year many people have been planning how to survive. However amidst all this proactive preparation I have noticed a chink in everyone's proverbial armor. The zombies. True many have "zombie plans" and have an idea of what they would do, and they have even opened up a class at Michigan State University entitled "Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse – Catastrophes and Human Behavior". Despite all this I've come to realize that very few people truly are prepared for the rise o the undead. Almost all the plans I've read or heard involve struggling on with as many guns as you can carry. This is folly people!! You can only shoot so many zombies in the head before one of them bites you while you reload. We have a fight or flight instinct for a reason! When the dead won't stay dead, run! We are no match for the shambling hordes of rotting corpses. Flee and take your lived ones wih you. Now the question is: where do you go? Well cities and other highly populated areas are out of the question. The zombie count will be highest there. Also a desert is a bad idea. The dry heat will help preserve the zombies and they will essentially become unwrapped mummies. So where then? It's simple. The extremes. You have two options before you. Journey to the frigid poles or to the tropic jungles. First let us examen the poles. It will be cold. Very cold. And the zombies, being dead, naturally will have no body heat to combat this. So they will freeze and be either unable to move or break themselves apart as they try. There is also a very low population in such cold places making it harder for the zombies to ever even gain a hold in those barren wastelands. So you will be nearly totally safe. But cold. On the other hand in the tropics (again away from major cities) you will be quite warm, possibly too warm. But that same humidity you hate is the same force that helps to protect you. The walking corpses will rot much faster in such climates and so you won't have to survive the risen dead for nearly as long as in other more temperate climes. And the animals found in such abundance (especially the insects) will also help with the clean up. However the jungle comes with much greater risks than the icy plains. In the cold lands you will have to face very little if any danger beyond frostbite and hunger. While in the tropical paradise you might be sunburned frequently and be plagued endlessly by mosquitoes, you have bigger problems. Yes the zombies will rot faster, but it still will take months if not years for them to die out completely. And what happens i those blasted mosquitoes have tried to suck zombie blood, lived and then creep up on you? If you're lucky nothing, but I'd say that if you are living in a zombie apocalypse, luck is probably not something you have in abundance. So be smart people! Make your choices now while you can! Remember, don't let anyone bite you. Ever. That is how it all begins.
