Response to "Embarrassing Encounters (GMCL #8)". My embarrassing celebrity encounter.

I was once invited to a Rascal Flatts concert, front row. I knew they were pretty big, and I knew some of their songs, but didn't know anything else.

The concert was great.

I usually stay after concerts to see if the band will come out to do a meet-and-greet, and this time, I got "lucky".

JAY, the bassist, walked out to grab something from the stage.

I didn't know his name then, but I heard someone yell "TRAVIS". So, I did basically the same thing Rhett did, and yelled "TRAVIS" until he finally looked at me strangely and noticed that I was calling for him. Jay and I took a picture together and made some small talk. I felt excited to have met him.

You can imagine my embarrassment when I went home, logged on to the Rascal Flatts website, and saw that his name was Jay after I called him "Travis" about 15 times. I even completed our short conversation by saying "Nice meeting you, Travis!".

THEN, to make things EVEN WORSE, after reviewing the picture, the guy didn't even really LOOK like Jay from Rascal Flatts.
