"Lamont" vs "Neal"

I believe it was the name of a friend or acquaintance in school when he was young. He really looked up to the kid because he could run fast and he thought that was cool. I believe that is the correct background story on "Lamont"?

However, they each gave different answers...Link said it was homage to a former classmate, while Rhett said it was due to the limited number of last names that could be selected in the game Second Life. It could even be a combination of both -- maybe in picking his Second Life last name, Link decided he wanted to use Lamont because of the guy they knew in grade school.

Yeah I wonder if he's ever been tempted to change it away from Lamont.
