Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

I've been wondering about this for quite a while now...
What can we Mythical Beasts do to help you guys financially, other than buying your merchandise, spreading your videos, and donating?
I think I speak for the entire kommunity when I say that I want y'all to be able to continue doing what you do for as long as you still enjoy it, and I want to know how I can help. ^^
However, I don't really know how the youtube or sponsorship payments work. I mean, do you get paid more if I favorite every video, or rate them 5 stars, or even click on the ads next to the screen?
I'd be glad to help in any way I can, and I'm sure many other Beasts will, as well. =]

I was wondering how the sponsorship things work as well.
Yes, we do want you to make videos as long as possible, so how do we help you guys out with that?

That reminds me, when I get money I need to get stuff form the merch store...

That helped, but I want to know more about the youtube and other sponsorship payments, and if/how we can help out that way. (favoriting, rating, clicking on ads, etc.)
Thanks, though. ^^

Lauren, when it comes to web videos, we make money in two ways.

The main way is by getting paid directly by the companies we make the vids for. Our I Love Local Commercials series is funded entirely by Microbilt (the small businesses get the commercials for free), so we get paid a fee for every commercial we make. The more straightforward, typical model is when we get paid by the company we're promoted directly in the video, like the Spanner, which is a real product. You'll see a brand attached to most of our videos.

Additionally, we get paid by Youtube because of the ads that show up on our videos. That's not a lot of money, but it helps.

That being said, how can you help?

In terms of Youtube videos, subscribing is of course key. Also, rating our videos 5 stars, commenting on them, and favoriting them all helps to push them into different "honors" lists, and makes it more likely to be featured and to be seen in general. So we definitely encourage that. That fuels more subscribers, more channel views, etc. It all feeds into itself, pushing our work out to more and more people.

As our audience grows, we're able to attract bigger and better sponsors, and we're able to only say yes to projects that will result in great videos that make every fan happy. Also, it continues to lead to better opportunities outside of the internet, like TV and film.

I guess the bottom line is that there's no one thing to do to help. In general, just being a fan who watches and shares our videos with friends and buys our merchandise when we have something you like, is GREAT.

Thanks!
Okay, I'll definitely keep all that in mind while I watch y'all's videos, thank you so much! ^^
uhhh so then should I like leave the billboards up and keep the tree carvings of your faces up on the freeway or is that like....wierd?
