Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Hey, guys!

I'm just gonna start out by saying that I have a pretty weird question for ya'll. But I hope you will read this all the way through and really hear me out.

You see, I am a student at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, studying mass media communications.

And I am a huge fan/supporter of an incredible non-profit organization called Invisible Children. If you're not familiar with them, what they do is they use creativity, media, and social action to raise awareness about child soldiers in Uganda. These children are abducted by the LRA (which is run by a terrorist named Joseph Kony) and forced to kill. One of the biggest things Invisible Children does is make documentaries about these children and go on tour and screen the films in schools all across the country. They are working to help end Africa's longest running war.

And now they have a new event called "25". With this campaign, individual people all across the nation set up their own fundraising page on the Invisible Children website, start spreading the word, and get as many people as they can to donate. Absolutely all of the funds raised in this 25 campaign will go to Invisible Children's newest project called The Protection Plan. With this money, they will build radio towers, a communication system, and rehabilitation system in Uganda. This will help warn the people about where Joseph Kony and the LRA is, and help save lives!

If you want to donate to this worthy cause, you can visit the link below. :) It will bring you to my personal fundraising page. The money does not go to me. ALL the money goes directly to Invisible Children.

The goal set is 25 dollars, but if I exceed that, then that's just all the better!! Going over 25 dollars would obviously be preferable to just doing 25. But any amount at all is so wonderful. And every donation makes a difference!

**(And actually, they are sending the person who raises the most money this week (and each consecutive week up until April 25th) to Uganda with them this summer!! It is a dream of mine to go there and work with Invisible Children. And any help you could give to get me closer to that goal would be so incredible and very much appreciated!).**

I know you probably get e-mails like this all the time. And I know that even sending you this e-mail is a long shot, but I needed to at least try. But please know that I am not trying to hit you up for a ton of dough. I am just wanting to explore any and every avenue that I can think of. I watch your videos and I can tell that you all have such kind hearts. Thank you for all your hard work!

Thank you so much for your time! I really, really appreciate it. :)

God Bless,

Amber Albrektsen
